A native of Beijing, Harry Cao is the Brand Ambassador of Glenfiddich
since 2002, after rigorous training at William Grant & Sons in Scotland.
For seven years prior to his selection as the first Glenfiddich Brand
Ambassador to China, Harry worked in various assignments in whisky
marketing and sales.
Harry described his apprenticeship in Scotland as "a rewarding but very
difficult experience." He is the first mainland Chinese to undergo
professional training in whisky making and tasting from the Scottish
experts. Being the first of his countrymen to do so is a great
honor to him. There is no doubt that the extraordinary effort he expended
to master the world of whisky has earned him the right to pass on his
knowledge as Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador.
In Scotland, Harry spent a great deal of time working with craftsmen at
the distillery and was trained privately by Scotch whisky master - David
Steward. "In Scotland, I was trained to have a good nose," says Harry who
can differentiate more than 80 types of whiskies.
As the Brand ambassador of Glenfiddich in China, Harry travels around the
country to share his knowledge and experience with whisky lovers.
