Currently Alex is Chairman & CEO of Wallaware Inc.,
a provider
of intelligent wireless proxy software and technology to cellular phone
operators globally. In addition, he is the founder of
Spydre LLC, a
venture intelligence and incubation specialty firm.As part of his role
at Spydre, Alex has served key roles at several Internet companies
including: VP Business Development at Delphi Forums and Chairman of
Wallaware Inc. Alex and his team established Delphi's strategic
partnerships from Amazon.com to Xoom.com and created relationships that
have grown Delphi's reach from 10,000 members to a network of over 25
million in 18 months. This placed the company as the 15th stickiest ASP
on the web and a MediaMetrix 100 company.
Involved with startups in
many different roles over the past ten years, Alex established complex sales
and marketing channels for digital special F/X systems, consumer packaged
goods, IT consulting, and software tools; led the development of overseas
markets in Europe and Japan, and forged numerous joint marketing and
development agreements with leading Internet portals and Fortune 500
companies. Alex has raised more than $50 million dollars in strategic
capital from companies like Compaq Computer Corp, IBM, HP,
Information Resources, Inc, and Samsung for the various companies he has
started. Moreover, he has set three of his companies up for successful
IPOs, and has established the IPO launch team in two more. His career has
taken him from the Central Intelligence Agency, where he held Top Secret
and other special clearances, to Cambridge Technology Enterprises (CTE), where
he helped create Cambridge Samsung Partners, CTE's multi-million dollar
venture capital group. He is also one of the inventors of the
Compaq/Intel/ICE Internet acceleration technology, patents pending.
Alex completed his college level computer science course at the age of 13,
holds a degree in Political Economy from Williams College (MA), where he
completed his pre-med requirements, and is an avid amateur chef.
