Britain's #1 exporter and Europe's largest defense company, British Aerospace (BAe) is also involved in civil aviation, automobiles (Rover), construction and civil engineering (Netherlands-based Ballast Nedam), and property development (Arlington Securities). BAe is a 20% partner in Airbus Industrie, designing and building wings for the European aerospace consortium.
